Fool proof way to "hard-boiled" eggs
I’ll save you the trouble of watching Alton Brown speak about the science behind this method and why it is superior to just boiling your eggs and summarize the video.
In a medium sized pan, bring a few inches of water to a boil. Put a steamer basket into the pan, drop in a minimum of 4 eggs, cover and steam for 12 minutes. After the 12 minutes are up, place the eggs into an ice bath and let stand for about 5 minutes (this will makes the eggs easier to peel).
